The Verizon Thunderbolt initially received an update which introduced a couple of bugs but, as promised, an update was on its way to fix all the sudden resets the phone was suffering from. According to recent leaks, the Thunderbolt will get the latest Android on June 30, along with the long waited reset fix, and some more.
Taking a look at the images above and below you’ll see that a certain update build 2.07.605.2 will bring Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread to the HTC-made Verizon Thunderbolt. You can clearly see mentions of goodies like (finally?) video in Skype — after the application has been recently leaked — and Gtalk as well as Amazon Appstore preinstalled.
If the information is to be believed and the June 30 timeframe turns out to be real, the Verizon Thunderbolt will not only get Android’s latest platform but will finally get functionalities teased (leaked) before the smartphone’s actual availability.
