The HTC-made Verizon Thunderbolt has been plagued with random resets ever since users applied the May update and unfortunately all Verizon and the manufacturer could do was promise a fix to come and help users get rid of all the headaches.

Weighing 74MB over-the-air, Verizon just pushed out the 1.70.605.0 update for the HTC Thunderbolt. No, it’s not Gingerbread in case you ask! Still Froyo but it should definitely fix the random reset bug as it brings “reduced number of device power cycles and resets”.

Additionally you’ll also get improved data connectivity, enhanced Call History view, improved Bluetooth discovery mode pop-up window, view App Menu in tabbed layout, people search function enabled as well as Desktop cradle App. Your device should notify you of an existing OTA update once the roll-out process hits your phone.
