In addition to the existence of Verizon flyers that state the HTC Thunderbolt is available now — whenever that will be — Verizon has published a device showcase application to the Android Market.
The application name is rather self-explanatory, as well as its description: “Do not download or install this application, it is intended solely for use within Verizon Stores as a promotional tool“. That means you will see this application running on HTC Thunderbolts on display when you’ll head down to the store to play with the device. When will that be?
Our guess is next week, the Thunderbolt event being next after the iPad 2 launch on March 11. Droid-life seems to think alike as their inside Verizon tipsters reported that “certain areas were asked to “demo out” 4G SIM cards and submit the SIM IDs to be activated for Thunderbolt demo units today”. Last time that happened, devices appeared the following week.
