Verizon may be releasing a new version of the popular Motorola Droid X with a silver bezel, possibly called the Droid X SE, if a photo published by phoneArena is genuine. According to the site’s tipster, a purported Verizon insider, SE may stand for either Special Edition or Silver Edition. In addition to the color change, the handset may also feature the same 1.2GHz processor as the updated Droid 2, the Droid 2 Global.
Counting the special edition Droid 2 R2-D2 model, the Droid X SE would be the sixth member of the Droid family — making this line appear to be just the hit that Motorola needed in its attempt to recapture the magic it had in such feature phones as the StarTAC and RAZR ranges.
