Now that we’ve seen the first press shots of the Motorola DROID X^2 (X squared) we get a sense of the smartphone being close and also a feeling of the initial Motorola DROID X aging day after day. Amazon Wireless has the good old DROID X on sale for a limited time for $0.01.
Compared to the $149.99, which is the price for the DROID X over at Verizon, $0.01 is a bargain, but it’s not free. As usual, the price is valid with a two-year contract but for one cent you get a 1GHz Texas Instruments OMAP processor, 512MB of RAM and ROM, FWVGA 480×854 resolution display of 4.3-inches as well as an eight-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. Anyone grabbing!
