‘What 16GB?’, you’ll ask. Verizon and Motorola introduced the Droid RAZR back in October with a total storage option of 32GB, comprised of the internal 16GB of the phone plus an additional 16GB via microSD card.
The “new” offering, the Motorola Droid RAZR 16GB is basically you’re typical phone offered by Verizon sans the microSD card, hence 16GB. If the “hybrid 32GB option” was and still is available fo $299, the “16GB” variant is on sale online going for $199, with a two-year contract. The month-to-month also dropped from $649.99 to $599.99 so if you don’t care purchasing the extra memory from somewhere else (or you don’t need it), you can save $100 on contract or $50 outright.
According to reports, the white and purple versions should be available online as of Monday, January 23.
