It won’t be long now before we know the fate of Motorola’s Droid RAZR, and we’re expecting a glut of information on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to follow later-on in the day. A new Verizon leak just might steal some of the thunder from those announcements, claiming to reveal their release dates, along with that of the HTC Rezound.
The released pic of a Verizon calendar of release dates appears to be legit enough; it claims that the RAZR, Galaxy Nexus, and Rezound are all due to arrive on the carrier on the very same day, November 10. If this proves accurate, that is shaping-up to be one heck of a busy Thursday for Verizon; all three of these smartphones are expected to be top-tier models, and demand should reflect that. The Galaxy Nexus, in particular, with its first taste of Ice Cream Sandwich, could be huge for the carrier.
The strategy of a simultaneous release may be a bit unusual, but we can see the benefit of it, assuming Verizon has its retail locations ready to handle it. One plus is that if stocks run down on any one model, alternatives would be readily available that wouldn’t require too much settling.
We hope to get official confirmation of the RAZR’s release date in just over an hour.
