Motorola’s Droid RAZR for Verizon LTE is nearly upon us, and we had almost put together a complete picture of the phone’s release plans. Verizon hadn’t given a hard-and-fast release date, though, and while there were plenty of signs pointing to it being November 10, we were unable to say for sure. Now, with just over a week to go until the RAZR drops, a new leak formally names November 10 as the RAZR’s launch date.
Pre-orders for the RAZR opened a couple days back, with the promise that handsets would ship out by November 10. While that certainly implied that the 10th would be the phone’s official launch date, we hadn’t heard anything about retail sales. According to this new leak, apparently from a Verizon store or retail partner, the RAZR will be available in all channels (ie, stores and everywhere else) starting on November 10.
While the RAZR may be the first to arrive, it will have some fierce competition in store from the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and HTC Rezound. We’ve also heard rumors of both those phones also launching on November 10, but nothing that looks as sound as the RAZR’s plans. The Nexus, especially, could be on-hold for a while, potentially diverting sales towards the Droid RAZR.
