When we first got a look at an unknown but very Incredible-looking HTC Android for Verizon LTE back in February, we wondered if the phone might be the Droid Incredible 4G, a name that had already started coming up with accessory manufacturers. The handset turned out to be one we had known by the codename Fireball, and when a roadmap came out near the start of March, we saw it taking the name Droid Incredible 3 4G very close to what we were expecting, but not quite. Today there’s a new leak out which references the phone, and now it finally seems to be getting that Droid Incredible 4G name we had been looking for.
This news comes from an internal post meant for retail workers, discussing Verizon’s new minimum advertised pricing figures for its phones. Sadly, we don’t get to see the actual list, but there’s the note that the Incredible 4G will be assigned a MAP before it arrives. We can also see the presence of that same ADR6410 model number that’s been following the phone since its Fireball days.
The last we heard about plans for the Incredible 4G’s launch, it was supposed to arrive on April 26. If Verizon’s currently making some marketing decisions about the handset, a release that’s just about a month away sounds pretty plausible.
