Motorola announced the Droid RAZR MAXX at this year’s CES, a Droid RAZR with its battery on steroids. Instead of going with the 1780mAh battery on the Droid RAZR, the Droid RAZR MAXX sports one of 3300mAh, which will cost around two millimeters in thickness, but still keeping it under 9 millimeters.
The manufacturer let slip of a certain January 26 date on its own website but quickly recovered by editing out the day and replacing the text with “available soon”. Verizon however seems to have the same information: January 26, 2012, is the date “the Droid RAZR MAXX will launch to all channels”. With two solid confirmations like these, there’s little to no doubt that Thursday should be the day to circle in your calendar.
