A certain Droid Incredible 2 — with or without the “Droid” bit in it’s name — has surfaced on Verizon’s system alongside the HTC Merge at the end of February indicating that there will be a follow-up to the successful HTC Droid Incredible.
AndroidSPIN got some nice shots of a Verizon branded HTC Incredible S which will most likely be Verizon’s HTC Incredible 2. While the device itself is rather good in what it delivers, “has a terrific screen, exhibits great performance, takes awesome photos, and it’s loaded with the latest version of HTC Sense”, it only got a score of 3 out of 5 in our review.
While there’s not much change as far as the processor is concerned compared to the Droid Incredible, the Incredible S — and now, the Incredible 2 — rocks the same Qualcomm Snapdragon single core 1GHz, sports a 4-inch WVGA 800×480 Super LCD panel, has 768MB of RAM and 1.1GB of ROM, eight-megapixel camera that can do 720p HD video, 1450mAh battery and it will hopefully come out with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on top of which there’s your updated version of HTC’s Sense UI.
