Unfortunately it does require a “bumped out” replacement cover (included) and adds a bit of bulk to your phone. Installation is simple, all you have to do is replace your old battery and cover with the new ones.

Not only that, at the time of this writing the cost of the battery is just US$13.99! Keep in mind, this is just for the Verizon version of the phone, not the GSM version (which requires a different battery and back plate).
