Several Froyo ROM builds have been leaked for the Verizon Fascinate, the carrier version of the Samsung Galaxy S, but now an ED01 version of the source code has been made public by the manufacturer itself.
It’s somehow sad that we’re talking Google Android 2.2.1 Froyo for a Galaxy S when some regions in Europe are already getting Android 2.3.3 via KIES software but better later than never, especially with carrier models. What this new build of Froyo source code means is that you’re getting closer to the day you’ve been waiting for on one hand and on the other developers will be able to both extract goodies as well as report some bugs back to the manufacturer. If you still want to take a peek under the hood, head over to the source link and search for “SCH-I500″.
