The official Gingerbread update for the Verizon HTC Droid Incredible should have been out in September according to various reports but somehow it got stopped, overlooked or forgotten.

According to recent information, a certain build 4.08.605.2 is being pushed out to Droid Incredible phones. The tricky part is that the update is claimed to have only 8.6MB which is far from a full system update; if you have a stock, non-rooted Verizon Droid Incredible, make sure you check for an update and let us know in the comments of what you get, depending on whether you rock Froyo or Gingerbread.
