The spotlight may be on the Galaxy Nexus when it comes to Verizon rumors this month, but it’s hardly alone on the stage. Right at the beginning of the month, we heard a series of rumors targeting December Verizon releases, including that of the white version of the Motorola Droid RAZR. We didn’t have anything more specific at the time then a claim that the phone would show up sometime towards the middle of the month. Well, it looks like it’s going to hit that target right on the money, as Verizon has announced today that sales of the white RAZR will start tomorrow, December 15.
A few days after hearing that rumor, we finally got our proper look at the handset. We had made some guesses about how the switch to white might be implemented, but it turns out Motorola went with a far more conservative design than we had estimated, keeping the phone’s black bezel intact and largely relegating the new white facade to the phone’s edges and rear.
Other than the new paint job, you won’t find any other changes here. The Droid RAZR in white will be available both in Verizon stores and for online purchase beginning tomorrow, for about $300 on-contract; there’s no word on any third-party deals just yet.
