The T-Mobile G2 is an excellent choice for those who want a smartphone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard running Google’s Android mobile platform. It even scored a 4.5 out of 5 in our review being fast — the single core kind of fast though.

Even though it will soon get its Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to bring the smartphone to date with the newest software, the T-Mobile G2 is nearing its “End of Life” status over at Magenta. It also disappeared from the T-Mobile website so it will slowly fade into history. If you still want your G2, grab it while you can or wave goodbye soon for a very successful and well-executed smartphone.
