Seems like everybody’s getting the Samsung Galaxy S II except for the U.S. carriers. Don’t worry, it should be here soon but until then let’s all be happy about Telstra Australia announcing the phone’s availability for July 26.
Simply put, “the Samsung Galaxy II, Australia’s fastest smartphone, will launch on the Telstra Next G network on July 26″. There will be plenty of pricing choices and contracts to choose from or you can go with the phone only for AU$840. The Galaxy S II is a little late to the carrier because, according to Telstra, it’s “not just compatible” with the 850Mhz Next G network it is using but rather “optimized to run on it”.
In less than three weeks you’ll be able to score the Android phone of the moment with its 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread on-board.
