LG’s Tegra 2 powered Star we recently saw pictured with HDMI out support was previewed by Engadget who ran a series of test to reveal the Tegra 2 is really a beast among mobile chipsets.
The handset used for the preview looks to be a pre-production model (maybe a prototype) so for sure it’s not final hardware but the findings are still astonishing though. As far as outer aspect is concerned, Engadget notes the resemblance of LG Star with the HTC Droid Incredible but the internals are what really makes them different. The display looks to be a 4-inch LCD WVGA (judging by the lack of deep blacks AMOLED should deliver) and paired with a single speaker that delivers loud and clear sound could make this device a real multimedia machine. Performance wise, the device scored 2,156 points in Quadrant but bear in mind that this is far from being final hardware. The device also sports an 8-megapixel camera capable of FullHD 1080p video recording, front facing camera for video calling, microSD card slot and a 1500mAh battery.
