About a month ago, a device roadmap for T-Mobile was leaked, giving us a detailed look at the carrier’s release schedule for October and November. November 2 was set to be a big day for T-Mobile, with the debut of six devices planned. Since then, we’ve heard some of them confirmed, like the retail availability of the LG DoublePlay and HTC Radar 4G. While the carrier announced the myTouch and myTouch Q (previously known as the LG Maxx and Maxx QWERTY) around the same time as that leak came out, it didn’t have a release date to share, only commenting that the pair would be available “in time for the holiday season”. Now T-Mobile has filled-in the blanks, announcing that the new myTouch models will be for sale online starting November 2, and will be in retail locations by November 9.
Besides a launch date, we’ve also been in search of pricing information for the myTouch and myTouch Q. While the leak had each going for $130, they’ll get here cheaper still, costing just about $80 each on-contract.
Both smartphones are powered by 1GHz processors and run Gingerbread. Each has a five-megapixel camera, but while the normal myTouch has a 3.8-inch screen, the Q’s measures-in at only 3.5-inches; of course, what it lacks in screen-size it makes up for with the presence of a hardware keyboard, supposedly 92% the size of a laptop’s.
