We’ve already seen a leaked Android 2.3 Gingerbread test ROM for the T-Mobile myTouch 4G back in May but it appears that another, more recent one, has recently surfaced on the forums. This comes in context with T-Mobile rolling out the official ROM to select users starting today.
The version numbers are 2.19.531.1 for the ROM and 22.214.171.124_26.11.04.03 for the Radio. It is Gingerbread with HTC Sense 2.1 and a couple of bugfixes since the last leak back in May. It’s unknown whether this is anything close to what T-Mobile will be officially rolling out but according to initial reports, root will be lost if ROM is flashed. If you can resist the urge to update, you should have official Gingerbread soon. Even though the carrier will continue the process through the end of the year, the official Gingerbread roll-out will expand in early August with more users getting the update.
