Looks like it didn’t take long for the T-Mobile Galaxy S II to get a nice kernel that will make it less jealous of its Exynos-equipped cousins. After recently seeing the official source for the phone we are now getting some overclocking goodness.
Of course this isn’t for the everyday user and the usual disclaimer is in place but once you get passed that you will be able to overclock your Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989, aka T-Mobile Galaxy S II, to a whopping 1.8GHz. It’s possible via a custom kernel available for all you brave geeks out there that just won’t be satisfied with the stock speed. For details and feedback as well as instructions on how to get it, make sure to follow the source link!
