The T-Mobile G2x, really your Magenta version of the LG Optimus 2x, is a great smartphone with good performance thanks mainly to its dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor and graphics chip which returns out-of-the-box benchmark results of around 2,500 in Quadrant.
If that’s not enough for you, there’s a custom kernel floating around with which the T-Mobile G2x has been overclocked to 1.5GHz — really a 50% increase in clock speed. This returns scores of 3,264 in Quadrant and if you want this to be your smartphone, check out the source link for more details. One word of note though (besides the usual bla bla about overclocking can be harmful): it’s a Froyo kernel and it’s still an early beta.
