While T-Mobile USA still has yet to announce exact availability of the unveiled T-Mobile G2, there have been some speculated release dates in the past on the Internet. Most notably, Best Buy Mobile has posted pre-orders for the device with expected availability on October 6th, but it turns out that we’re now hearing that the nation’s fourth largest carrier will be unleashing its HSPA+ smartphone on October 16th. The silver lining here is that the delay may give you a few extra days to save up funds on splurging for this smartphone. That said, the 16th is still speculated at this point.

Update: The source of the rumor, TmoNews, was down at the time of the posting; however TmoNews is now back up and the rumor originated from a forum post on the carrier’s blog.
