In case there was any doubt that Android handsets were racing towards “free on contract”, T-Mobile has officially priced its T-Mobile Comet — a.k.a. the 2.8-inch-screened Huawei Ideos — at just $10 after $50 rebate — much less than the $150 Costco told us yesterday. As we had previously heard, the 528MHz-powered, QVGA device will go on sale November 3rd, putting it up against the almost-as-cheap $30 LG Optimus T, which bumps up the clock frequency and screen resolution a bit. T-Mobile will also offer the Comet as a prepaid phone, selling it for $199.
