Previously tipped as the Samsung Galaxy W for T-Mobile, the phone is now officially uncovered by the carrier as the Samsung Exhibit II 4G, the “budget-friendly, feature-rich 4G smartphone”. It will be the network operator’s first no annual contract 4G smartphone and will be available in Walmart stores starting October 27 and nationwide from November 2.
The phone packs a 3.7-inch WVGA screen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor (unlike the international version that features a 1.4GHz processor), three-megapixel camera (instead of five), front-facer, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Android 2.3 Gingerbread on-board. The phone is expected to cost $29.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year contract, and $199.99 for the phone only.
