It’s been looking increasingly likely in recent weeks that T-Mobile would eventually announce the HTC One S coming to its network on April 25. With a press event scheduled for today, and one unabashedly featuring the One S, at that, we were hoping that we’d get to hear the carrier formally reveal its launch plans for the ICS Android. With the off-contract version of the phone appearing on T-Mobile’s website overnight, the announcement seemed all but certain. It’s still a few minutes until T-Mobile’s One S event kicks-off, but the carrier has jumped the gun with its press release, finally spilling the beans on just how the One S will arrive.
Off-contract, we saw the One S going for just about $600 but were still curious about its on-contract price. T-Mobile has now revealed that subscribers will be able to pick up the phone with a two-year service agreement for $200 after a $50 mail-in rebate. When will you be able to pick one up? It turns out the rumors were dead-on this time around, and the One S is hitting retail a week from today, on April 25.
