Sprint’s set to be getting its Galaxy S2 first amongst US carriers, but who will be second? T-Mobile just made its own announcement regarding the smartphone, but doesn’t narrow the release date range down to more than “this fall”.
Like the Sprint Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch, T-Mobile’s Galaxy S2 will also have a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED+ screen, a slight upgrade over the presently available international model. All the US carriers are advertising their GS2s as 4G, and as this is T-Mobile, that means HSPA+.
Samsung has put out a blanket press release announcing the phone on all three carriers, and so far we’ve heard from T-Mobile via tweet regarding its GS2 specifically. We’ve yet to see a more formal statement from the carrier regarding the release, but when we do, we’ll hopefully get a few more details, like maybe its cost or a more specific release date.
