There seems to be quite a bit of confusion concerning the device codenamed HTC Kingdom and whether or not it’s the HTC EVO 3D coming to Sprint this summer (and currently available for pre-order at Best Buy). Well after analyzing the Kingdom’s ROM, we’re quite confident that it’s a completely new device distinct from EVO 3D, whose codename — as we learned in a now-pulled GLBenchmark test result — is HTC Shooter. While the two handsets are somewhat similar, EVO 3D clearly boasts the superior specs, with a more advanced processor, bigger screen, and more RAM, not to mention its 3D capture and playback capabilities. Check out the chart below for the specific feature breakdown.
P.S. In case it’s not clear — and it very well might not be — Kingdom is pictured on the left, while EVO 3D / Shooter is on the right in the image above.
