The Samsung Conquer 4G, announced by Sprint on August 5, is by no means a powerhouse. It packs a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.5-inch HVGA display, and WiMAX support.

However, Sprint is preparing a very sweet deal on the phone. If you purchase a Samsung Conquer 4G from the carrier between January 8 and March 10 for $49.99 (instead of $99.99), Sprint will throw an additional one in for free. You’ll still have to sign a two-year contract with the Now Network but the offer is nevertheless attractive for those who are new to the world of smartphones.
