Sprint announced earlier this month that it would be bringing the HTC EVO 3D, and the glasses-free 3D display it’s packing, to the US on June 24. While that’s mere days away, you may have a shot to score the smartphone even sooner, if you’re a Sprint Premier customer, that is.
The carrier offers perks to its customers who meet certain requirements, either spending above a certain cutoff for a number of months, or being a long-standing Sprint customer regardless of your monthly bill. Those who fit the bill enjoy all sorts of discounts, as well as occasional opportunities like this one to score some hardware before everyone else.
Sprint will start shipping EVO 3Ds to those Premier customers who order the phone as of today. While there are still transit times to consider, you could end up getting your EVO 3D a day or two before anyone else. Sadly, even Premier customers will pay the standard $200 for their HTCs after rebates and contracts. At least they’ll get free shipping, but it might have been nice to either see a discounted price or a bit more substantial of a lead time over the main EVO 3D launch; a week early might feel like it’d be more worth bragging about.
Whether you’re buying yours today, or waiting until June 24, if you want to get a head-start on being ready to use your new EVO 3D, Sprint’s placed the smartphone’s user manual online (PDF) for your reading pleasure.
