You already knew the specs, and now that it’s official, we know more about when the EVO 3D will be released, and for how much. In terms of specs, the HTC EVO 3D has a dual core 1.2GHz Qualcomm CPU with 1GB of RAM. The display is qHD resolution–a first for HTC–providing 960×540 pixels on a 4.3″ display. The screen can also do glasses-free 3D when you playback special 3D content, or video taken with the dual 5MP 3D cameras in the back. HTC has included a switch near the dedicated camera button to change between 2D and 3D mode. There’s also a 1.3MP camera on the front for video chat. The EVO 3D will have the largest shipping 3D glasses-free display on a smartphone, beating out LG with their Optimus 3D. It’ll ship with Android’s latest, 2.3 Gingerbread. Naturally, it’s a 4G phone and can do WiMax, and can act as a hotspot for up to eight devices. You can use the EVO 3D’s HDMI output to display 3D content on your 3D TV (which applies to the ten of you that actually own a 3D TV). Powering everything is a huge 1730mAh battery.
It’ll be shipping sometime this summer. No word on price.
