Less than an hour after Verizon announced the availability of the HTC Droid Incredible 2, Samsung is out of the gate with pricing and a firm release date for the 4G-capable Nexus S. The WiMax-capable Nexus S will be available on May 8 for $199.99 with a new two year contract.
The Nexus S on Sprint is the same Nexus S that we reviewed back in December of last year but with WiMax and a slightly different backing. It’s powered by a capable 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird CPU with 512MB of RAM. The crisp display is 4″ and uses Super AMOLED technology with WVGA resolution. The display is also curved, providing a unique in-hand feel.
We’ll have full coverage of the Nexus S 4G for Sprint, but if you want to see it now, check out our hands-on coverage from CTIA.
