After T-Mobile detailed the devices it is carrying that have Carrier IQ installed as well as the scope of this installation, Sprint is now also addressing the Carrier IQ issue in an internal memo which you can see attached above.
The network operator goes on saying that Carrier IQ can be found on most Android, BlackBerry and Nokia phones, with question mark regarding the iPhone. Sprint reps should assure customers that the carrier does not and can not look or record contents of messages, photos and videos on phones but the usage of the Carrier IQ bit is limited to understanding device performance on the network, a fact that is also laid down in Sprint’s privacy policy. Are you assured now about your privacy?
