After an initial bump where the Sprint EVO 3D needed an additional update to fix what the initial one broke, there were rumors of an update coming to the phone last week.

If you have an EVO 3D yourself you can expect the notification for an over-the-air update which will bring you a widget and a brand new radio. The new version of the radio should improve on reception quality while also making the phone hold on to the signal better. If you got the update, let us know of that “Corporate 4G” widget!

Update: Apparently the update doesn’t contain a new radio but a software patch that fixes the way the phone handles signal in general and 4G to be more specific, thus the improvement in signal.
