Based on what we’ve been hearing so far about Sprint’s rumored launch plans for the Galaxy Nexus, a betting man would have narrowed his options down to either April 15 or April 22. There’s been support for both dates at one time or another, but the uncertainty over which might be the true date has continued to linger. Most recently, a tipster revealed that Sprint stores were receiving GNex promotional materials with instructions to hang them for display on April 15; was this support for that very date, or did it suggest Sprint would be advertising the phone in advance of its release, making April 22 sound more likely? Today, some new evidence has arrive supporting that latter date.
Once again, we’re looking at an internal leak dealing with preparing retail stores for the model’s arrival. Here called the Samsung Nexus, the note refers to the phone arriving in stores before April 22. While that doesn’t out-and-say that sales will be starting on that same date, that’s not a huge leap to make, especially considering how we’ve seen the same day crop up time and time again.
There’s probably not much to read into this, but Sprint seems to be jumping the gun a little on the arrival of the Galaxy Nexus, though it may have gotten a little confused in the process. The carrier started running promotions on its site for a Nexus S deal, only using imagery of the Galaxy Nexus, instead. We know, Sprint; we’re anxious to see this one arrive, too!
