Getting Android 2.2 Froyo on Samsung’s Galaxy S phones hasn’t been easy for the major carriers in the U.S. Sprint previously told customers to hold tight, the update is coming to their Epic 4G.
- An upgrade of the Google OS from Éclair to Froyo (2.2.1)
- Ability to install applications to external storage
- Improved Bluetooth device support
- Bluetooth Voice Dialing
- Flash Player 10.1
- GPS Enhancements
- Improved OS performance
Sprint’s update will be over-the-air (OTA) and will start rolling out in waves starting today, February 21, 2011. All Samsung Epic 4G owners should be able to get the update by February 25th.
Once your spot in line come up you’ll get a message stating that a software update is available. Follow the on-screen instructions from that point and you’ll be enjoying your Froyo goodness in no time!
