Announced at the end of March, the Google Voice integration for Sprint was spotted in a banner telling people it should land today, shortly after which several reports came in about an early start.
Sprint is reportedly sending out email messages, like the one attached above, in which they’re letting customers know that the Google Voice integration is ready. The Email is an invitation to the service before anyone else, offering two options: 1. users can keep the Sprint number in which case the Sprint number is ported and becomes the Google Voice number and 2. replace the Sprint number with the Google Voice number which gets ported to the carrier.
Whatever option you choose following the invitation in your email — where available — you will also be presented with the steps necessary to accomplish a successful number port. Let us know how many of you are considering this option and port.
Thanks: Ted
