Those of you that bought the EVO 4G know that Sprint has added a “premium data” $10 fee onto your bill, in addition to the data plan that your’e required to have. It’s pretty clear that this added fee is probably for use of Clear’s WiMax network, or it’s just an attempt to squeeze a bit more revenue out of each EVO 4G owner.
One particular EVO 4G owner is on a crusade to uncover the real truth behind the premium data fee, so much so that he has lauched a website devoted to the cause: ExplainTheFee.com. One of his latest entries is a rather humorous 45 minute call with a Sprint employee that remarks that the $10 added fee is akin to getting the “shrimp and crab” at an all-you-can-eat buffet.
