The Sony Xperia S is bound to be a flagship phone in 2012: it features a slender, handsome design, it packs a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, plus it also has Sony’s first 720p Reality Display for a phone. The Xperia S will ship with Gingerbread, but will get an ICS upgrade in early Q2.
Our friends at Clove now have information relating to the price and ship date of the Xperia S. According to them, it will be available around March 5, and will be priced at £389.99 or around $600. The unlocked GSM phone will be Europe-only, meaning it won’t have the proper bands to do 3G or 4G on any US carrier, but that doesn’t rule out a US release in the future.
Are you going to wait for the Xperia S? Or is there another new phone announced at CES that is likely to be your next phone, even sooner than March?
