The latest Sony 2012 smartphone roadmap leak from the other day brought up a couple of new names as well as some of which we’ve already heard about. The LT22i “Nypon” for instance is a phone that recently surfaced and now it’s up on NenaMark, pretty much like the MT27i “Pepper” we’ve seen the other day.
The LT22i “Nypon” is believed to have an extra-bright display thanks to the rumored Sony WhiteMagic screen, claiming 1000 nits of brightness. NenaMark lets us know that the Nypon will also run Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread (or at least the device used for the benchmark does and we hope Ice Cream Sandwich is the one shipping), and pack a 1GHz CPU with ARM Mali-400 MP GPU — just like the Pepper, believed to sport an ST Ericsson NovaThor chip — as well as a qHD (540 x 960) display.

The ST25i “Kumquat” was also on the leaked roadmap and thanks to AnTuTu we find out that it too packs a 1GHz CPU, believed to be a dual-core ST Ericsson NovaThor U8500, FWVGA resolution screen (480 x 854) of yet unknown size and five-megapixel camera. It is expected to be a small device branded Sony-only, expected to land overseas, possibly in the U.S. as part of the new Xperia family.
