Even though its lastest rumored release date is somewhat suspect, Verizon’s Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is still poised for launch, with an appearance on Walmart’s website suggesting that the gaming-oriented handset will ship within a matter of days. Last we heard, the first so-called “PlayStation Phone” was poised for a May 26th launch, although the other dates from that rumor have not panned out. Still, with Verizon featuring Play in its May marketing guide, a release before the end of the month is almost assured.
