We’ve seen the pros and cons of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play but those slide-out gaming controls aren’ worth much if there is no content to take advantage of them. Well, the manufacturer seems to take care of that as Sony Ericsson announced that the smartphone will be launched with more than 60 games.
As the world’s first PlayStation certified smartphone, the Xperia Play will be able to play Playstation titles. The device is already available in several regions with more being added in the next couple of weeks with more than 60 games from software giants like Sony Computer Entertainment, Gameloft, Electronic Arts and Glu Mobile.
If the rumors are true and Verizon will launch the smartphone in a couple of weeks, you’ll find titles like Assassins Creed Altair’s Chronicles HD, Need for Speed, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Dungeon Defenders Second Wave, and more. You will be able to download the games using the Xperia Play Launcher which is automatically activated when sliding out the gaming controls.
