Yes, it’s Sony Ericsson and not Sony, in case you were wondering. While Sony unveiled the Xperia S at CES with “Sony”-only branding, the company also announced the Xperia NX, which is basically the Japanese version of the phone; this one is wearing the good old “Sony Ericsson” brand.
According to the website of the Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo, the Sony Ericsson Xperia NX will be hitting stores on February 24; the carrier will take pre-orders starting February 10. There’s no word on pricing just yet; as far as hardware is concerned the Xperia NX is basically a home market variant of the Xperia S, with the 4.3 inch LCD “Reality Display”, Qualcomm MSM8260 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and twelve-megapixel camera.
