Sony Ericsson has launched the Xperia Neo in February with the occasion of this year’s MWC, together with the Xperia Play and Xperia Arc. Initial word of availability was for April 19 but this unfortunately just got bumped to Q3.
Our friends over at Clove inform us that the Xperia Neo will be delayed to July in the UK — and maybe other regions too — most probably due to the recent tragic events in Japan. The official word on delay names “disruption to the supply chain as a result of the disaster in Japan” as the reason. While nothing’s for sure, one thing is, unfortunately: there will be no Xperia Neo in the near future.
On a side note, the Xperia Play and the Xperia Arc are also affected from the same reasons but the manufacturer is doing its best to at least minimize the impact. We’ll let you know of more as soon as we hear new info!
