A picture of the alleged and upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia Duo surfaced last Friday and was giving hopes to everyone who is a fan of the manufacturer as this smartphone could very well be Sony Ericsson’s first dual-core.

From the same source comes today’s picture too that places the Xperia Duo on the Xperia Arc’s side, so we can have a better sense of its proportions. We know the Xperia Arc is 125mm tall and looking at the picture above we’d say the Xperia Duo is a tad larger, say 130-ish, making it a large smartphone.

The display on the Xperia Arc is 4.2-inches in diagonal and, as we first hinted, the Xperia Duo might very well be a 4.5-inch smartphone. Other than that, we can’t say more at the moment but we hinted towards a great camera — given it will be a flagship — but we can’t guess the chip inside: nVidia, Texas Instruments or maybe Qualcomm?
