The Sony Ericsson Xperia Duo is no stranger when it comes to leaked images as we’ve already seen a couple showing off a huge screen. A closer-to-the-original (and hopefully reality) render has just surfaced making the Xperia Duo a not so well kept Sony Ericsson secret.
Rumor has it the Xperia Duo will sport a dual-core Cortex A9 processor aided by the Mali-400 GPU, under the name of NovaThor A9500 chipset. Clock is rumored to be ticking at 1.4GHz puting the Galaxy S II in a not-so-positive light. Other rumors imply the usage of the HTC Sensation-like Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset so we’ll have to wait a little bit more to see clearly but nevertheless, dual-core is on-board.
As you can see in the image above, there’s huge screen; 4.5 inches in diagonal to be more exact with qHD resolution and Sony Ericsson’s own Mobile Bravia engine. Birds chirp about a twelve-megapixel camera at the back (with hopefully Exmor R backlit sensor) as well as an enormous 2500 mAh battery. We’ll see how many of these rumors turn out to be true but in case they all do, it’s going to be the Android phone of the moment, taking the crown away from the Galaxy S II.
