Thanks to its Exmor R backlit sensor, the eight-megapixel camera on the Xperia Arc has a high light sensitivity. This means that it captures images in lower light conditions than other cameras with considerably less noise. The Exmor R technology is used by Sony on many of it’s current mid to high range camcorders and cameras and now it has a mobile implementation too.
