Part 1 of our software overview gave you a look at navigating through Sony’s custom user interface on the X10 Mini. Just slapping any old version of Android onto the smallest smartphone would not suffice. Sony’s skinned version of Android 1.6 does the job very well and makes the X10 Mini very usable, even by the most skeptical.
In part 2 of our software overview, we venture further into the software making up the X10 Mini. We take a look at the social networking applications, the browser, and we also look at the video playback capability. Surprisingly, for such a small device, the speaker can be turned up incredibly loud without any noticeable distortion. Finally, we also check out some of the preinstalled games, such as Peggle.
