There has been a lot of buzz lately around Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Mango — Xperia X10 Mini Pro successor — generated by the numerous pictures scattered all over the Internet. Rumor has it that in the upcoming month of May — chances are that it’s going to be as soon as next week — Sony Ericsson will reveal two new handsets, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mango and the Smultron (Xperia X10 Mini successor).
Both the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mango and Smultron will allegedly operate on Google’s Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread mobile platform and feature 1GHz processors with HVGA (320 x 480) screens of roughly three inches in diagonal, five-megapixel camera at the back plus a front facing webcam. The Mango, codenamed SK17i and SK17a, will feature a slide-out QWERTY keyboard while the Smultron, codenamed ST15i and ST15a will only have a touchscreen. File this under the “R” category for now but Sony Ericsson should definitely launch the follow-ups already!
As a bonus rumor, there will allegedly be one more unveiling for a smartphone yet unseen. No details regarding naming, features and specs are known so we’ll keep our fingers crossed it’s something nice!
