Sony Ericsson has a rather successful Android phone line-up with the MWC-launched Xperia Arc, Xperia Play, Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro. According to sources, the manufacturer is already testing a platform update for the above mentioned devices.
The update would contain Google’s newest Android mobile platform, Gingerbread version 2.3.4. In addition to the fresh OS files Sony Ericsson would also include a couple of new functionalities along with the Sony audio filter technology xLOUD. SEMC Blog’s source also claims that, while this update will be available for the aforementioned phones October 2011, Sony Ericsson is also testing Android 2.3.4 on the Xperia X10 but there’s no info on whether it will actually be released or not.
